SHE-CAN was using Google Drive for document storage and to manage their scholars’ college application process; however members had trouble gleaning the step-by-step process as well as accessing the materials, which led to a lot of questions and inefficiency for staff. While they were well-organized and diligently saved their files, they needed assistance with access and process flow. In addition, some of the members struggled with understanding how to use and navigate Google Drive. SHE-CAN wanted a tool that would be easier to navigate and serve their members’ needs better, but they did not know what this solution might be.

They asked Lift Group to find a technology that would be easy to use, broaden visibility, and lessen their time spent answering emails and organizing meetings. We began by analyzing their organization’s structure and considering their needs.

After researching and strategizing, we recommended using a learning management system, similar to the structure of an online course. With SHE-CAN’s approval, we vetted and selected a platform based on their requirements that was cost-effective, featured an intuitive user interface, and the ability to update quickly.

Thanks to our client’s trust, we were able to implement this solution efficiently. We began by setting up the technology ourselves, then built out the structure and created educational materials for the team with an emphasis on readability. We then held two live training sessions and recorded another so SHE-CAN members could refer back to it as needed.
